challenge
W.M. Jordan, a legacy construction firm in the Southeast, needed a modernized website to reflect its rich history while appealing to a younger, tech-savvy audience. The challenge was to balance tradition and innovation, showcasing their community impact and technological leadership while improving usability for diverse audiences, including clients, trade partners, and prospective employees.
Solution
As a UX/UI Designer working in a team of four, our solution was to redesign the website to make it more visually engaging by highlighting W.M. Jordan’s core strengths—community involvement, advanced technology, and regional impact—through bold photography and dynamic layouts.
By integrating a refined content strategy and SEO optimization, the redesign successfully bridged their past with a forward-thinking digital presence, attracting new audiences and talent.
results
+68% Engagement Boost
Average session time per active user increased from 34s to 57s, signaling a 68% rise in engagement.
Target Audience Shift
The redesign attracted a younger audience, with the 25-34 age group (416 visitors) and 35-54 age group (408 visitors) leading traffic, a marked shift from the older user base.
I would put this up against any other construction site out there and would be very confident that ours is better."
Ron, W.M. Jordan’s Leadership
Top-Performing Pages
The "Bid with Us" page ranked 3rd in visits, following the homepage and construction services, directly aligning with business goals.
